Storm night, Footsteps patting in the rain. Midnight, You're hoping to never hear it again. You've thought it right, You closed your eyes, What'd life be; If April showers without me. Dark trees, Surrounded by fireflies. Beats me, I've never batted an eye. You know for sure, The right answer, You suddenly see; How April showers without me. You've got cornered, You've seen it coming, You've never wanted this, So why'd you ask for it? With each passing season, You wanted nothing, It's not a bliss, So why'd you ask for it? A confession, Each day worsens and worsened. My reflection, Twisted and taken the wrong turn. Life gets harder, It can't get better, It gets easier; Once April showers without me. Have you ever wondered, If it gets warmer, Once April showers without me? You've thought it hard, You wanted to be right. It's not too far, You still have plenty of time. But the storm gets dark, You can barely see the stars. It's not how it always seem, Taking the lengths to extreme. Hope the cherry blossoms remind you of me, And you could be free. Does it matter, As life gets unpredictable. Do you ever, Wish you could be invisible? You've thought it right, It messed your mind, How life would be like; If April showers without me. Once April showers without me, Hope you see it too; How April would shower without you.

Your eye shines like a winter's sky, Your lips are so cold when I feel you on mine; It's snowing a blizzard, it's freezing outside, But you make me feel warm with the fire you ignite. I held close my heart frozen cold and dry, Yet your words as sweet as honey melted the ice; You speak in a way the bards failed to tune, A star that glistens, overseeing the moon. Because every summer I think about you, You and your all year icy blue; As I slumber upon a midsummer's night, I picture a dream where our sparks fly.

The shape of my sea is lonesome, As it is, but not as blue as the sky. My ship wrecked within the high tides, And the lightning strikes at midnight. Wind flowed through my hair, My waves deepened. I longed for that thunder; An escape route from my island. Stars changed their faces, But I know that sound stays the same, The growling of the skies, No longer blue but dark grey. The pitter patter of rain on my cheeks, Lighting strikes again in the dark. When my waters touched your current; I see sparks.
